Tot School - Letter Aa
Chandler loves ABC's. He actually calls them "AB's" which is pretty funny.
I decided to do some very simple letter activities one day a week this fall during Audrey's morning nap. I thought this would be a special time to have one-on-one time and maybe teach him a thing or two as well.
For simplicity sake we are going letter by letter through the alphabet. We are briefly "covering" the lower case letter and sound but I would say I am emphasizing and doing most activities with capital letter.
The first week we started with A.
We colored the letter A and talked about a few things that start with 'a', traced a rubber dot tactile card with our finger, did some dot paining, read some books, and made a foam alligator A. We used green and white foam, google eyes and this Aa template for the alligator A.
All the books we read were from the library. These are the titles we checked out:

Audrey {5 months}

Audrey girl,
We think you are precious. You are a very smiley baby and your dimples are adorable! It has been fun dressing a little girl. You are started to fit into more dresses and outfits! You still haven't worn shoes but I'm sure they will be cute in the winter. You love to babble and watch Chandler play. He loves to "shush" you and is very satisfied when "she stop". We can't believe how fast you are growing!
Measurements:
Weight: 12 lbs 3 oz

We officially have two kids in cloth diapers this month!

Disposables: size 1
Clothes:
Most newborn things are finally getting snug moving into lots of 3 month outfits and onesies.
Schedule:
She is still on the the eat-awake-sleep schedule but her naps are flexible. She always has a good afternoon nap (when Chandler naps) which is awesome! Most days her schedule is 9am, 12pm, 3:30pm, 7pm, and 9pm varying about 30 minutes either way.
Sleeping:
Taking about 2-3 naps a day, usually 10:30-12:30, 2-4, and some times a nap around 6pm.
Eating:
Eating is still a struggle. We aren't sure what else to try to help her still lots of crying. She is still on Prevacid. We have tried different bottles, different flow nipples, different positions and nothing has seemed to make a difference.
Dislikes:
Eating. Audrey is such a happy, happy baby. Really 90% of her crying is during feedings.

Teeth: 0
Milestones:
She is getting better at holding up her head and playing while she is on her tummy. Loves to chew on her hands and tries to eat her feet too.
Can't remember what Chandler looked like at 5 month? Me neither, click here.

Happy 2nd Birthday Chandler!
Two years ago you completely changed our lives! You have brought us so much joy and laughter. We love your sweet little personality. You are outgoing and social yet reserved and quiet. You love to laugh, dance, and be tickled! There are constantly new words and phrases, new skills, and new ideas. You love to help mommy in the kitchen but can't get enough of being outside helping daddy. You are absolutely precious with your baby sister. Audrey constantly watches you and you pat her back and "shh" her when she cries.
Happy 2nd Birthday, we love you cute boy!

Talking:
We are still working on you not saying "no" to everything. You are starting to put lots of names and faces together. You are repeating lots of words still. You are beginning to put two or three words together, mostly just "I play, I eat, etc." right now.

Still not liking going to nap/bed and getting your diaper changed, it seems we are progressing in both areas though!
Other Random Things:
- If I am doing things in the kitchen you say "stoooool" and run and get your stool out of the bathroom. You love to watch as I cook, sample food, and help stir
spillthe food. - You love dancing to music and spinning yourself around in circles.
- You like to choose the bib you wear for meal time.
- You blink your eyes to tell us you want to pray and you usually say "yay" or "amen" when we are done.
