Look What Daddy Taught Me
Chandler loves eating cereal for breakfast these days. Which doesn't surprise me because he wants to be like his dad in every other way, why not this?

Moments to Remember
Last week, my family was in town and my grandpa offered to pay for our lunch. I told him I would order everything online and we could just go pick it up. He gave me his credit card and I set it down by the computer. A few minutes later Chandler came over and sat in my lap and immediately saw the card on the floor and started swiping it across my computer to pay! We all just started laughing in disbelief that he connected the two together. He has been paying attention at the store, huh?
This whole scenario still makes Cody and I laugh. The other night I was sitting down to feed Audrey as Cody was putting Chandler to bed. Cody told him to come tell me and Audrey night night. He ran in the living room and waved and then proceeded to try to get up on the couch. Once he did, he held his arms out and motioned to hold Audrey. Me being naive said, "oh you want to hold Audrey?" He said, "yes". So I put Audrey down in his arms as he sat. Immediately you could tell he wasn't interested in holding his cute baby sister, he was scheming up another plan. He started pointing and saying "dada". Cody and I just looked at each other in unbelief that he came up with that plan. He wanted me to put him to sleep and Cody to hold Audrey! When I asked him if he wanted mama to put him night night, he said "yes" and gave a cute little smile. :)

Chandler Update {20 months}
-I weighed him on our home scale, which I'm sure varies from the doctor but he weighed 23.4 lbs. We think he has hit a growth spurt even though the scale doesn't reflect it (either that or he just has a tiny baby sister that makes him seem huge)!

-pjs: 12-18 month, 18 month

-sleeps at night from 8:00pm-8:00am
Eating:
-you never know about your eating, one day you like it and the next you don't
-we try to offer you some of everything we are having (unless its too spicy or something) so you can try lots of different foods
-you recently tried almonds and cashews for the first time and think they are really good, you are starting to not want things cut up into pieces
-you love eating things with a spoon (applesauce, yogurt, oatmeal are your favorites)

March 2012 Recap
This month caught us off guard. It still seems surreal at times that our baby girl is already here! We weren't prepared at all but it has all fallen into place and we are slowly adjusting, day by day. Some days I still don't know how I am going to juggle both kids napping and eating much less getting out of the house but I know this is a season and I am trying to enjoy every moment.
The first week of March was "normal". Some highlights were our baby shower for Audrey, Cody taking me on a birthday date night to Texas Roadhouse and to see Blue Man group, attending a friend's wedding, and lots of sweet birthday wishes and cards.
Then, as most you of know Audrey made her grand entrance a month early on March 9 (you can read about her birth story here). The next week was spent in the NICU and then back in the hospital because her jaundice levels got too hight.
My sweet friend, Miranda (who now shares a birthday with Audrey) graciously spent her whole Spring Break off from teaching to help me so Cody could work and be off with me the next week. It was awesome to spend a whole week together as a family. Chandler had the time of his life spending all day outside with daddy! The last week of the month my mom spent a few days here seeing the little ones and helping me tremendously.
On the house side of things, Audrey's room is almost finished and Cody started working on a shed for the backyard (pictures coming soon)!
Overall, I never saw this month turning out like it did but we are so thankful that God had a better plan and was so faithful to us through it all.

March books
5. Craving God by Lysa Terkeurst: This book wasn't on my book list but it was free from Kindle one day so I ended up downloading it. It is a 21 day devotional to accompany the book Made to Crave. I didn't really know what to expect and was a lot more about craving food vs. craving God than I realized. There were some good points and reminders that I took away from it but I wouldn't take the time to read it again.
For the rest of the month, I have been listening to podcasts on my phone while nursing since I'm not able to actually hold a book just yet. Hopefully, I will get more books read in the months to come.

Wordless Wednesday
Days seem to run together right now. I guess that's what happens when you don't get much sleep. Needless to say, I missed last weeks post so there are LOTS of pictures today. A random assortment of our life over the past two weeks. Lots of cuddling, kissing, playing, laughing, and helping.
