I had a really funny moment teaching reading today.
We have been giving this individualized test (TPRI) to all our 1st graders over the past 2 weeks.
I was having one of my boys read a word list to me today.
He was going strong...or so he thought.
I was really proud of him because he has DRAMATICALLY improved since the beginning of the year.
We came to the word, sugar.
He said "sssssuu....Oh, I know Mrs. Groves, this one is EASY!"
"Cigar! Duh. See I told you I was good!!"
Then moves on to the next word.
We can't tell them if they are right or wrong...but I was really laughing inside and couldn't wait to run across the hall and tell Ashley.
